Collaboration with KNRM

The KNRM offers some interesting extras to donors:

Sailing with a lifeboat: As a donor, you have the chance to sail once a year with one of the lifeboats during the annual Lifeboat Day. On this day, all lifeboat stations are open to the public, and only as a Shore Rescuer are you allowed to come on board (weather permitting).

Magazine The Lifeboat: Three times a year (in January, April, and October) you will receive the KNRM donors' magazine The Lifeboat. In it, you can find all kinds of information about the work of the KNRM and our rescue operations, including compelling stories from rescuers and people who have been rescued, or who support KNRM in a special way.

Free admission to the Rescue Museum: Each year you receive a donor pass that grants you free admission to the National Rescue Museum Dorus Rijkers in Den Helder.

KNRM app

The KNRM app is a tool for good preparation of sailing trips. Here you will find weather and water information and you can easily create a sailing plan. With up-to-date nautical charts, you can track your sailing trip and store it in a logbook.

In case of breakdowns or emergencies, you can request assistance directly via the app. The KNRM knows your position immediately in case of an emergency or breakdown through the current nautical chart.

Would you like to become a donor?

Of course, everyone is warmly welcome to sign up as a donor. You can register via the KNRM/Hienfeld action page.
